Review on Quick Fit Wire Mesh North States by Peter Sullivan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not as strong as before.

This is a children's goal. It works, it's tall, but they're not built like they used to be. Before that we had one made of plastic, the mechanisms of which fell apart after about a year of use. So we bought this one because we have another one that one of our grandparents used with us when we were kids (i.e. 30 years old) and it has worked; still going strong and keeps my baby out of places we don't want him to go. This has an improved locking mechanism that makes it easy to adjust to the space you need. But the joints are weak. My son (2 years (25 months)) ran towards the kitchen and not only knocked over the tightly locked gate but also broke one of the corner joints. The other (30 year old, timber frame) gate was slammed, knocked, kicked, jumped over (by us) and didn't even back away from the door frame, just a bit disappointed in today's craftsmanship.

Pros
  • PRACTICAL AND PORTABLE: Do you have company and need to rent a children's gate in the evening? No problem. To reattach, simply place the security grille in the opening and lock - the Quick-Fit fastener remembers the size for you.
Cons
  • unreliable
