aswc-1 is the best in the business. That said, there is no better steering wheel control harness that will work on so many cars and radios. There is no other kit (that I am aware of) that can be manually programmed to work with almost any radio. I was even able to get this to work on my Chinese Android radio Atoto A6 Pro. (no small task). For this reason I award 4 stars. If you have an obscure radio (or Chinese Android radio) then this is the cable set you need. auto aswc-1 works very well. With manual radio detection, your radio will find it on its own. However, troubleshooting can be VERY difficult if something doesn't work automatically. (that is the reason for the 4 stars). ** CONNECTING TO THE ATOTO A6 *** DO NOT USE the 3.5mm jack (SWC IR-WIRELESS Key Control Port) on the back of the Atoto A6 Pro. This port is not available for some reason. 1. Download the specific instructions for your vehicle and the Axxess Steering Wheel Control Interface Installation Guide from axxessinterfaces (dot com) website.2. Follow the vehicle-specific instructions to connect the AWSC-1 to your vehicle first.**Connecting to a Radio**1. The ASWC-1 includes a 3.5mm jack with brown and brown/white wires coming out. Use this to connect the Atoto steering wheel button (+) and steering wheel button # (+). 2. Connect Atoto A6 Steering Wheel Key+ wire to Axxess ASWC-1 Brown/White wire, connect Atoto A6 Steering Wheel Key #+ wire to Axxess ASWC-13 Brown wire. Plug the 3.5mm plug from ASWC-1 into the 3.5mm jack you connected in step 2.4. ASWC-1 does not auto-detect Atoto A6. (no problem) 5. Follow the instructions on page 12 of the Axxess Wheel Interface Installation Guide to change the radio type.6. Atoto A6 responds to Visteon radio control. (Wisteon Type 8 Radio).7. Once you have aswc-1 installed, go to your radio.8. On the radio go to: Settings > Default settings > Steering wheel program.9. Once the screen appears, press Reset.10. Then press any key value, it will flash.11. Finally, press one of the buttons on the steering wheel, your radio will stop flashing and a triangle icon will appear on the key. this means that the key tool has been successfully programmed. Repeat steps 10 and 11 until you have programmed all steering wheel controls.
