It's got all the features you could want and attention has even been paid to details like a groove cut out of the foam on the back to accommodate an air hose so you can push the sponge all the way into the corner of the tank. . But I don't recommend it. You need at least 3/8 inch clearance between the sponge and the tank walls. This filter is both simple and well thought out. I can't make any suggestions for improvement. That's good for a 40 gallon filter. , even in excess. For 60 or 75 I would use one in each corner. There is nothing comparable on the market and the price is attractive. Make sure you let it run for at least 10 days before expecting it to handle ammonia and nitrites.
