This is my second time buying the watch. The original actually survived child abuse for a couple of years before the seconds hand finally fell off. Warning, when my product arrived, the spring bar (the metal bar that attaches the watch's rubber strap to the case) was found loose in the packaging. He fell out and was almost lost. Glad I checked the goods before the gift. It was a bit tricky getting the tape back onto the body as I don't have a spring bar tool. I feel like this shouldn't happen with a brand new product. I didn't have to purchase any special tools to assemble the new $12 watch out of the box. At the same time a good watch for a small child and, being cheap there is no real loss if they are inevitably destroyed. Let's see how this holds up. Based on other reviews, there are some quality control issues. These watches used to come in a collector's box, but now they're only available in cardboard.
