Over the years I've learned to trust Otterbox Defender cases. I bought one with my first iPhone 5 and it has protected the phone to the point where after 2 years it looked brand new. I upgraded my phone to 6 and decided to try other brands because I wanted it to be thinner and be able to admire the looks of the phone - long story short - I cracked the screen and dented two of its corners - I tend to suffer from slippery hand syndrome ;) . When my husband bought me an iPhone 8 Plus, I didn't hesitate and ordered this case. While it's bulkier than other Otterbox models, it protects the phone, which is ultimately what I want. I've had it for 5 months now and it still works and looks good. The color hasn't faded and the purple covered the dirt well so it's not easy to see.
