We have a standard oral thermometer but wanted a different thermometer due to Covid-19. We wanted something we could use right away without putting too much effort into it. The thermometer comes with an instruction manual, a thermometer pouch, a quality inspection certificate and a registration card. The manual is fairly well written with a few grammatical errors, far fewer than others. In addition to the operation section, it also includes sections on warnings and precautions, tips on temperature measurement, cleaning, and troubleshooting. The manual says two AAA batteries are "optional", but they don't come with them, so you'll need a pair on hand. . There are markers for inserting the batteries, but they are small. People with poor eyesight may find it difficult to see them. Personally I think the manual should have a picture of how to insert batteries, not a website. It's very easy to use. Pull the button, wait for the self-test to complete and dashes appear on the display, aim at your forehead, push the button again and in about a second you'll have a temperature reading. It can take as little as 6 seconds from power on to the first temperature check. There are some other features that are not explained or poorly explained. You can choose "Space" or "Objects" mode. When set to this mode, you can measure the temperature of objects, rooms, etc. I tested this on a few other thermometers and they came within 0.1 degrees. It has two temperature presets that activate the orange and red LEDs. If you have a mild fever (37.5°C/99.5°F), the orange LED will light up. When the temperature is high (38°C/100.4°F), the red LED lights up. If you want to change these settings, you can do so. All in all this is a great product. It's small enough to take with you almost anywhere. No-touch temperature controls are everywhere, making life much easier and safer. If you have kids, you need this.
