Review on Copper Barfly 24Oz (700Ml) Cocktail Shaker Set by Julie Weigel

A review from someone who is more barrista than bar-tender

Look, I'll be upfront here. I don't mix many drinks, so my experience here is somewhat limited, and I don't have a large sample size of products with which to compare this item. Instead, I sort of have an idealized hypothetical in my mind, and compared to that idealized hypothetical, I sort of think that a cocktail shaker can be done better. My home bar is stocked more with single malts that aren't to be mixed than with mixers, so again, take my advice here with a grain of margarita salt, but here's what I want. Pop the lid on quickly, form an air-tight seal so that there's no leakage when you shake, and remove the lid easily. Is that a lot to ask? I don't think so. I lost a couple of droplets shaking, and is that anything to cry about? No. You don't cry about spilt-milk from a White Russian. Wet bar. Liquid. You're gonna make a mess. Still, make a seal. The lid was harder to remove than I'd like, too. All things considered, given the price, can you get too bent out of shape about that? Maybe not, and I don't know how much I'd pay for some overpriced cocktail shaker. I needed one, Best Buy offered, so hey. How dare I complain, right? It works. It's just some hunks-o-metal anyway.
