I purchased an 8-ounce packet to use with Refined Linseed Oil (500ml from US Art Supply) and Pure Clove Oil (118ml from UpNature) to create a Create custom slow-drying medium for extended coloration alla prima/wet-on-wet. The cabin oil was nice and thick but easy to pour and mix with other materials. I'm happy with the medium I've been able to make, which depends a lot on the quality of the cabin oil. I am satisfied with both the product and the low price. For reference, my remedy is simple (parts are by volume): 2 parts vegetable oil 1 part refined flaxseed oil a few teaspoons clove oil The amount of clove oil you use really up to your discretion. It takes very little to slow down the drying process of the paint.
