Review on CRAFTSMAN CMHT77632 Red Spot Laser by Ryan Lawson

This is a pretty good auto level laser. Laser shows 3 beams: a) up the plumb line, b) down the plumb line and c) horizontally. Pros • Easy to use, fairly intuitive. • Automatic leveling block. When the device is more than 4 degrees off level, the laser will blink slowly to let you know it is not level. • The laser is steady (not blinking) when the device is level. • The device is denoted as 1/8 inch accurate. and a visibility of 100 feet. I have no reason to doubt it. • Supplied with housing and battery compartments plus 1 spare set. Good that there is space for additional batteries. It is also good that the device can be stored without batteries so that it does not break in the device. • Comes with a highly adjustable mounting bar that looks like it will grab or attach to many different things (has an adjustable foot). • The device has three 1/4-inch, 20-thread mounting holes, which is convenient when using a tripod. Disadvantages • No user manual. The attached piece of paper claimed one was downloadable, but I spent half an hour finding it online. There were only 3 mini pages, a quick guide without words. • There are red lasers - although they are quite bright, some people find green ones easier to see. • The case it came in was too big but the spirit level is quite fragile so maybe this will help keep it safe.extreme cold.• The mounting bracket will only fit in the case when it is fully folded. Pain when quickly packed into the workplace.
