I flipped between the large ones sold until I found this XL version from a completely different link than the products listed. Yes, the large version would fit perfectly on the edge of my son's bed, but for the extra $30 I got a lot more protection. He puts it on more like a playground on a carpet. Fees only, how is it to play "place". I felt like it was a bit of a bust for us especially since he's not an avid Star Wars fan but it's so cool he really likes it and besides it wasn't the black we had, which showed a lot of pet hair, it's a low pile so vacuuming the lights won't ruin it, and I don't update his room but every few years so it's a good investment. I still wish it had more pricing like the larger $119 version and $89 more for the larger version, but that's a matter of branding and that's how the sale works. I'm still glad I took it.
