I was looking for an OBDII reader to use with the mygreenvolt app and my Chevy Volt 2nd generation (2017). I plugged this very inexpensive Mestart OBDII reader into the Volt's OBDII port located on the LEFT* of the steering wheel, checked my phone for new Bluetooth devices, and thought—right—the one that said "OBD” was the one must be who I was looking for. Currently, most Bluetooth pairing codes are "1 2 3 4" or "0 0 0 0". I tried "1 2 3 4" and it worked. Once it was paired I opened the app and it worked too. Wonderful! * Be sure to use the OBDII connector on the left of the steering column. The similar looking connector on the right side of the steering wheel in the Chevy Volt is for something different and will NOT work with an OBDII reader.
