Review on Ade Advanced Optics 10X21TB Professional by Amber Perez

I have a Japanese Hastings Triplet 10x loupe that I bought about 20 years ago and I have a Belomo 10x loupe that I bought about 7 years ago. I was looking for some decent inexpensive loupes for some friends and came across this LE loupe at Revain. I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money. The SE is bright and sharp, with a very shallow field of focus (to the edge). The field of view is superior to my Japanese and Belomo loupes. I also feel very comfortable browsing for a long time. The SE compares well to the Belomo, although the Belomo seems to have more resolution in the center, it also has more distortion and a smaller field of view. The SE compares perfectly to my 20 year old Japanese Hastings, although the Japanese version seems a bit more accurate in color (very, very weak). I'd also like to add that the build quality seems excellent for the SE. The rivets are tight, the lens is tight. I will be ordering a few more of these SEs for my friends (as originally planned), but I'm keeping the first SE for myself! The SE is fantastic value considering the price paid.
