Monotube shocks are as good as they get before you get custom shocks from manufacturers like Fox and King. I've been wearing them for a few days now and they're great! A little stiff but I understand that over time they will "break in" and make for a smoother ride. In any impact, raise the truck by the frame, not the axle, for maximum extension. No need to disassemble the wheels, just put in the front shock absorbers first. Be sure to remove the top hardware first and a decent exposure really helps. The passenger side was easy on my truck as you only have to remove the air filter housing and have full access to the top. On the driver's side the batter is in the way and it would be really quicker and easier to just remove it - I've tried swapping it around around it and was able to do it, but it was difficult and took a lot longer than necessary. . Be sure to follow the torque requirements carefully, especially on the top lock nut, and you will need the correct size allen wrench placed directly on top to prevent the tube from rotating while you tighten the bolt. The rear shocks are pretty basic. To do this, go with a tap on the top bolt on the outside of the wheel arch, they are easy to get if you jack up the car. Hitting with PB or some other penetrating lube really helps at first. You will also need long extension cords. The bottom bolt should have a wrench to hold the nut in place while loosening/tightening the bolt. If you removed the shock absorber, install the new one at the top first, but do not fully tighten yet. Stand directly under the shock absorber, push on the shock absorber to compress it, and then quickly snap the bottom buckle into place. Here, too, make sure to comply with the correct torque specifications. I will update the information in a few weeks. Update 08/23/20: The dampers have really flattened out after a few weeks of riding and are very comfortable to ride. Much better in corners too. So far I'm very happy with them! I will update again in a few months.
