I bought these to expand my home network, I ran a new cable and installed these connectors, tested everything and they've been working fine for about 6 months, now I'm getting without changes failures in the sockets sometimes 1 pin is not good, sometimes more than one. At the moment I had to replace most of them and I will replace the rest tomorrow. DO NOT BUY, it's not worth it in the future. The study found that the "gold" contacts were either very thinly plated, or simply brass. I did have signs of oxidation by the way, I don't plug and unplug these plugs often so wear and tear isn't an issue.
