I had another KVM with no sound and I swapped it out for this one. A few caveats: 1. The audio jacks (mini jacks) required a bit of twisting, twisting and pulling to get a solid connection to both active channels. 2. The "autodetection" aspect is tricky, at least in relation to the mouse, ie. the switch and thus the PC do not always "bind" themselves to the mouse as necessary. For example, for one of my computers, I have to manually switch the input to that computer when I turn it on to reliably detect the mouse, especially when PC #2 is also on.3. It's worth reading the instructions! I like the scroll number to toggle KVM non-audio only then I can hear when the other computer is doing something to notify me. It's also good to use scroll-scroll-m to reset. Not bad for the price, especially once you understand its features and learn how to work with and around them.
