I bought my '99 CRV about 6 years ago and thought I would always have to deal with the tailgate closing and bumping. in my ass. But Revane sent me an email describing this item. The price is reasonable, so I ordered it. When I went to install it the fit was good but not perfect. No problem at the end that attaches to the body. The end that attaches to the bottom of the door has a flange curvature that matches the shape of the inner door. It wasn't with me. I was able to tighten the two screws that hold the part to the door, but they can't be tightened enough to adjust the part to the shape of the door, so they don't tighten all the way. seem firm enough to hold them all the time and that part works great at holding the door open until I want to close it.
