I've written over 4,000 reviews but a few of them shocked even me out of their stupidity at the Darwin Award level. Are you giving the device 1 star because you are left-handed? WOW, and if you get a brand new device and it doesn't play anything, you and your hardware could be the problem. Anyway I got it, I've used it, it looks good, takes up little space, all the software I've used recognized it and was able to play/write on it. The cable is part of the case, which I really liked as it meant I didn't have to find the cable to put in my backpack if I wanted to grab it and take it with me everywhere. I give it 5 stars as it did everything I wanted it to and MORE because it exceeded my expectations so much that it got 5 stars
