First of all, the shelf itself is amazing. Excellent quality, durable metal. So everything should be fine, right? NOT RIGHT. The accessories that come with this shelf are not up to par at all. DO NOT assemble the shelf with the supplied screws and anchors. The seller says the shelf can support up to 300 pounds when evenly distributed. This statement seems to be true given the right hardware for the installation; However, the shelf cannot support its own weight with the supplied screws and dowels. Why do you ask? Because the screw heads, which have to be flush with the shelf when installed, are MUCH SMALLER THAN THE HOLE IN THE SHELF. This allows the screws to simply slip through at the slightest touch. And then the shelf falls. Also, the included plastic anchors are very flimsy and better suited to holding something 15 pounds or less. Conclusion: The shelf is good, the fittings are bad. Be prepared to buy screws and dowels, otherwise this shelf will be extremely dangerous and useless.
