A good and high-quality option for communicating 2 or more objects over a radio channel at a speed of 150 Mb / s. for reasonable money. I recommend it to anyone who needs a stable radio channel.

Pros
  • Design, quality of work, quality of communication. This company was founded by people from Apple, it's said to everyone. Set and forget.
Cons
  • Difficult alignment of antennas at long distances, over 10 km, is quite tricky (difficult setting) to achieve maximum speed and communication quality. PoE power is applicable for a distance of no more than 20 meters to maximize the power supply of the device while covering long distances.

Not perfect quality, some small defect.

In 2022 Does not work with almost any devices, does not find public WiFi Since the generally accepted frequency range is 2.4 GHz. I found out about this only after the purchase, I will try to return and exchange =((

At the moment (December 2022) there is no stable firmware release where you could choose the AP mode, so register on the website of the official manufacturer and activate in your profile that you agree to take beta versions . by putting 5.6.3-rc2 the antenna started up in mode AP and you can build a bridge. Who is interested in blowing out of it at maximum speed - establish that you are in the USA. for those who want to build a wifi track, there is a section on the site for this - airlink…

Pros
  • Good replacement for AirGrig 27dbi narrower radiation pattern (5~8 degrees) than AirGrid promised distance increased to 30km Low consumption less than 5W Perforated mesh for wind resistance. compact package, prefabricated reflector. miniature power supply - two times less than from previous models.
Cons
  • It seems that the firmware is raw, but it says on the box that this is a CPE solution. Urgently ate the firmware to the latest to activate the AP mode still promise DFS only three indicators (power, Lan network, wifi network)

I use at a distance of 1.5 km. Transfer rate in 50/50 Mbps. If it checks in one direction then 100 Mbps. Reception level -54 dB. Service life 1 month. As long as it works stably. Only in rainy weather communication with AP falls off. There are many reviews on the Internet about the power supply that it is rather weak. At first I was afraid to buy because my cable length exceeded 30 m. Then after the purchase I immediately checked it - it works fine. If you want more speed (more than 50Mbps in /

Pros
  • Low price, good quality material. Assembly will take 5 minutes.
Cons
  • In bad weather (in my case, in the rain), the bridge often falls off. Looked at all the settings. But the problem remained.

A reliable product, quality is acceptable.

The power supply is not only smaller, but also non-standard in its characteristics 25V 0.2A (instead of 24A - 0.5A for other ubnt), which, with a cable length of more than 20 meters, already makes itself felt by the unstable operation of the antenna. The solution was to replace the power supplies with full-sized ones from loco, the same greed, etc.

The official firmware with the "bridge" mode appeared on the manufacturer's website. Flashing the device does not cause problems. For those who are "in the forest" and can give a damn about communication supervision, it is possible to set the transmitter power 18 dB higher than allowed, and accordingly organize communication for tens of kilometers. And for law-abiding users - a wide range of output amplifier modes from -4 to +7 dB, which allows you to turn the device into a mode that does not…

Pros
  • Low price, stable operation, a lot of settings with a very user-friendly interface
Cons
  • As already mentioned, the device works with a cable length of up to 20 m. At 30 m, there is not enough power even to download

It's not a bad product, nothing extraordinary.

At the expense of + 30 km. complete disappointment. Before buying, I specifically asked the seller if it would work at a distance of 15 km. subject to line-of-sight, air purity, free fresnel zone. The seller assured that these are ideal conditions for 100Mb / s. and everything will be fine to build a bridge using similar devices. Over a hundred I do not need, so it was decided to buy these devices. As a result: 5/15Mb/s. Two months of dancing with a tambourine, a lot of forums, overcoming a…

Pros
  • Compact, fast assembly, stable performance
Cons
  • Fastening with a clamp. On a smooth rod, it spins in all directions, even with the wind. I had to make a patch.

I bought two and after updating the firmware I was able to create an access point and a bridge. Now I send my internet connection 5 blocks through the trees (although most of the leaves are gone) and it works great. The access point is on one source connected to one of my router's switch ports and the other is configured as a bridge connected to my other router's WAN port. The default security was zero, so anyone who buys it should set that up. If you make your own cables and plug them into a…

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • No machine gun

Not Ready for Prime Time Out of the Box

This is just a STATION until you flash the firmware. You then have the option of selecting AP or REPEATER mode in addition to STATION mode. UNII-2/DFS frequencies are not available until you go online and request UNLOCK CODES. For this reason I am reducing my rating to four stars.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Great quality just works

I bought these to share internet between 2 houses. I really hoped it would work even though I had no line of sight. There's about a 50 foot drop in elevation, and that's through the trees, about 800 feet. I followed the firmware update recommendations, watched a YouTube video on how to set them up, which took about 2 minutes per unit, then mounted them and gave roughly where I thought they would line up, although I did only guessed. It didn't work right away so I moved a cymbal about an inch…

Very very happy with these radios!

Very very happy with these radios! I bought a pair of these to give me a 1.3 mile line of sight. I installed 1 outside of my house and installed another in the attic of another house. Even though it goes through the metal roof I still get a 50mb link. Setup was very easy and took about 20 minutes for both radios.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Not fashionable

Works great, impressed with my results Near LOS

Works well. Both flashed to the latest official firmware and used for PtP between two houses 1.6 miles apart. There are "a few trees" along the way, and the quality of the connection ranges from 45% to 75%. I can easily watch Netflix in another house. I plan to find/build/buy a tower soon to get over the trees. One end of our link is already about 50 feet up, and the other end is only about 15 feet up. Raising the bottom end to a 40-50ft tower should give me a 100% clear Fresnel zone from my…

The easiest way to share high speed internet.

Simply amazing! This allows me to connect 100 megabytes across the street to my girlfriend's house. On the receiving side I have a switch and an access point connected to it. When I'm hardwired to the switch, I'm down an average of 95 megabytes. It's not bad if the eyes look at each other almost perfectly. At night I tape the laser to one end and move it around to align the device around my house for a perfect connection. You want them to be at least 15 feet in the air. A little more and you…

Impressive, and I have a hard time agreeing with that

Okay right, I've worked in IT for over 30 years, but I use it to transmit a signal through a metal building to a trailer, where it is located and carries not only the network but also VOIP. A trailer with a full network in addition to HAM radios is not a Wi-Fi friendly environment as some radios have over 100W output power. I'm looking forward to stress tests in the field this summer.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • negative impression

Incredible value for IT Saavy

Atheros radio with Ubiquiti software and all for $50 is a real bargain. Anyone familiar with Ubiquiti devices will feel right at home with this device. Since this is done to save on the budget, there are a few things to consider before you buy and during setup. - The radio inside is 1x1 "SISO", or one input, one output. Even with airMAX, the speed is limited by the maximum value of MCS7 (72.2 Mbps) even with AirMax activated. For most people this is not a problem; If you need more bandwidth…
