I bought these to share internet between 2 houses. I really hoped it would work even though I had no line of sight. There's about a 50 foot drop in elevation, and that's through the trees, about 800 feet. I followed the firmware update recommendations, watched a YouTube video on how to set them up, which took about 2 minutes per unit, then mounted them and gave roughly where I thought they would line up, although I did only guessed. It didn't work right away so I moved a cymbal about an inch and it synced up and everything works great. I didn't even look at the Signalmeter app to get a better dial because it works the way it is. For the cost of a month of internet I was able to buy 2 of these and use them as a wireless bridge between homes and internet sharing. I can't ask for an easier and cheaper quality installation.
