The second loop is the most important feature of this collar. I have another Logical Leather collar for another dog but it doesn't have a second belt loop to hold the excess and the collar will likely need to be replaced in a few years. However, this one will probably last my dog VERY long just because of that second cycle. The collar also has a small metal loop on the dog tag buckle, eliminating the need to use the quick release leash ring on the back of the collar. The ring on the back is great too as you don't have to use the same D-ring for leash, dog tags and other essential dog gear. Overall this is without a doubt one of the best collars I have ever bought for my dogs.
