M8x30 screws too short

I used it for a 40 inch TV which is quite thin especially at the top less than 1/2 inch then it gets wider at the bottom maybe around 1 inch and 1 /2. Little did I know when I bought this mount that the screws would be too short. After all, the TV is not so fat. My TV had wall mount adapters that had screws going through them and no matter how hard I tried those 30mm screws just didn't work, they were 13-15mm shorter. The instructions for the TV and the wall mount were not good. I read them line by line, or rather, frame by frame, and even there weren't many of them. Only to state in the instructions for the TV that they would need to be 43-45mm and 43 wouldn't fit either in my opinion. So I had to rush to Home Depot and spend more money, at least I was lucky enough to find an M8x45 in 1.25 increments. In all honesty, yes, the small wall mount sits on the wall and is very tight. However, when you install the brackets, it's almost impossible to put your hands back in to tighten or even loosen the brackets to tilt the TV down, and you can forget the thought of putting it back in a flat position, there really isn't room, not even for medium-sized male hands. There's something to be said for low-profile mounts, but if they get in the way it's not worth it at all. I am very disappointed.
