Bought for a barrier between kitchen and playroom for our 2 year old who had been breaking through the older baby gate. We wanted to screw it into the wall to make sure it held up to her craziness. Template was super easy for wall drilling. Unfortunately our thicker baseboards caused the "fit” to throw off the whole plan. I was certain I was going to have to send it back because I couldn’t fit the top without the extension but the bottom wouldn’t fit with the extension. We last minute decided to try it with just the pressure (no drilling). SO GLAD WE DID. It absolutely holds up! Was very easy to pressure fit, gate swings perfect, so easy to open really fast, and there is no chance she is budging this thing (even with the extension on). Is a great buy. Highly recommend to parents looking for a great option to keep toddlers out.Note: She does try and shove her legs through the bars, but nothing pinches or scratches like normal baby gates. So don’t fear the bars!
