Review on SelfTek 4Pack Toilet Seat Hinges Screws - Reliable Toilet Seat Fixings for Sturdy Installation - Easy-to-Use Expanding Rubber Top Nuts - Durable Seat Hardware Replacement Parts Kit by Ronald Cambridge

Still holding up strong.

SelfTek 4-Pack Toilet Seat Hinge Screws: Arrived on time, but one screw and one washer are missing. Revana handled returns and replacements quickly and efficiently. I've used them on new Kohler Cimarron toilets that came with cheap plastic seats that didn't hold up with the included plastic hinges and screws. The rubber inserts were tight (if they don't fit snugly in your screw holes, they probably won't work). I used some wd40 and put in a large screw that sat over the threads in the rubber insert. I was then able to easily insert the insert into the hinge hole in the toilet without damaging the threads. I had to cut off a small portion of the SelfTek plastic washers because they were too big to fit the Kohler hinge bushings, but they worked fine when I reduced the diameter. It took a few tries to get the screws into the threads of the rubber inserts, but I was eventually able to tighten them and expand the rubber inserts just enough to hold the seat hinges in the down position. After a week they still feel very tight and the seat hasn't moved. I think adding some extra bumpers to the bottom of the seats to give the plastic seats a little more support also helped. As usual with Chinese junk, no instructions but read other reviews and you'll get an idea of the methods that work.

Pros
  • Toilet Parts
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...
