This is a great size for leftovers, which is what I mainly use them for. I have 2 cups (same manufacturer) but I found the smaller size suited me better. I've had a few similar pyrex bowls with lids, but the lids were very difficult to remove. (I gave them away.) I didn't have this problem with my 2-cup Anchor Hocking - and I didn't have this problem with the single-cup sizing. I mention this because a reviewer recommended a different type of storage tray because those lids were very difficult to remove. I'm an elderly male with arthritis and neuropathy in my left hand, but I can take these caps off with no fuss. I suspect the other reviewer might not have been aware that plastic shrinks in the fridge or freezer. When you take them out, you should give the plastic a few minutes to "relax"; You can even help it by warming it up with your hands. This greatly simplifies the removal of the cover. (I have all-plastic containers in the freezer, and the same goes for them.) Another note: I wouldn't recommend using these lids in the microwave. Plastic is not suitable for this. I would suggest using a set of silicone bowl lids instead. Even if you don't have the perfect fit, you can always go for a slightly larger one. So you don't have to worry about these beautiful plastic caps deforming. Caveat: Another reviewer mentioned a leak. I can't comment on that as I don't use these bowls to store liquids. If there is sauce, it stays at the bottom of the bowl and I don't tip it on its side. Pooh! I didn't expect to write such a long review. Conclusion: Recommended!
