They say the best camera is the one you have with you so I bought this to make my A7 more portable and turn it into a camera and outdoor camera. The A7 will recognize the lens and use crop mode instead of full frame, giving you a 30mm field of view, which is great for general use. The image quality is not at the level of high art, but quite acceptable for a cheap and portable lens. There's slight distortion and vignetting at times, but Sony has an in-camera lens correction feature that's excellent at correcting it if they bother you. The more you avoid extremely high or low f-stops, the clearer the image will be.
