I have previously bought 2 packs of cheaper cases and can confirm this one seems to be more durable. Another reviewer mentioned that the thickness made it a bit difficult to get to the buttons, but that's actually a benefit of the new remote. I bought a second Shield TV shortly after the first one and the remote controls are slightly different. . Visually, the new one has a button to latch the battery cover, the old one doesn't. But physically, the new one is slightly more responsive to button presses compared to the old one, and that thicker cover seems to make up for that. All in all I highly recommend this.
