I wasn't sure I would like the look of this case based on other reviews that said how the recessed buttons felt. I stopped noticing it after about a week. The case is also grippy enough to prevent me from constantly dropping the remote. All in all a smart purchase.

For some reason the battery cover kept falling off when I dropped the remote, it seems to protect the remote better and also makes it easier to place the tile app on the remote, even though there is a finder on the remote, I prefer with a tile, very satisfied cover, and makes it easier to find the buttons without looking at the remote

I have previously bought 2 packs of cheaper cases and can confirm this one seems to be more durable. Another reviewer mentioned that the thickness made it a bit difficult to get to the buttons, but that's actually a benefit of the new remote. I bought a second Shield TV shortly after the first one and the remote controls are slightly different. . Visually, the new one has a button to latch the battery cover, the old one doesn't.
