We use this on a kids bike at school and so far it has been a great lock for the purpose (for the money spent). I was a little worried it was too long for a kids bike, but it fits well through the rear wheel, frame and bike stand without too much play. It's a bit difficult for a preschooler to work with, but I'm sure he can handle it with practice. I love that it's keyless, one less thing to carry around (and forget about), and it can also be taken off the bike by anyone picking up the kid from school (we do that minutes before we walk). Haven't had any problems with it for 3 weeks of use, hope it lasts a long time.
