Review on πŸ’‘ Exmate Ultra Thin Temperature Adjustable LED Panel Light 3000K-5000K by Jason Lockwood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pack of 6 lights with boxes, 3 color options

This set worked great. We removed the light fixture from the central room and installed a new false ceiling with these LED ceiling lights. This kit comes with a transformer box, wire connectors (for each pre-installed box) and LED lights. They went pretty easily with a small 14/2 gauge wire and I had to buy zip ties for each box. It would be nice to include them as they cost less than a dollar each. So after assembling the boxes and figuring out where we need them, I grabbed my 6" hole saw and realized that these lights actually need a 6-1/8" hole to fit completely flush. As for the ceiling board, I was able to press it into the material for a smooth fit, but you couldn't do it into drywall, wood, or cement board. By running wires to each box I was able to mount the boxes to the ceiling rafters and the pigtail lights would reach each ceiling tile by about 5 inches. The springs that hold the fixtures are a bit bulky to avoid damaging the ceiling tiles and the spring clips were a bit wobbly as they wanted to move from side to side due to the lack of a solid mesh over the spring itself. These lightboxes have the ability to change the color (temperature) of the light with a small switch on each box. We chose the daylight (medium) mode because it produces the whitest light, in contrast to the "bluish" fluorescent lamps. I loved the ability to change the color of the light from soft white (similar to incandescent bulbs) and also connected it to a dimmer which works great in our theater room. It lights up great, the dimming function works great. I installed them all in one room and they look amazing.
