Like glasses and Ticketmaster, printer cartridges are a bat that somehow shouldn't be legal. I need a home printer for my business and I use Canon pixma which is a pretty good printer. But the frequency and cost of replacing ink cartridges is a complete parody. I swear it uses ink even when not in use and somehow it uses color ink even when I'm mostly printing in black and white. Not only that, you're left with a lot of empty, polluting cartridges. Yes, you can "recycle” them, but are they really recyclable? Or are they simply given to a country that throws them into the sea without a qualm of conscience? GAH! (I bang my fist to the sky!)
