We've replaced our flimsy plastic with these stainless steel lockers for our external luggage compartments and we won't have to do this again anytime soon. The pre-drilled holes didn't line up with the current holes, but instead of drilling more holes in the camper, we drilled other holes at the base of the latch - and yes, make sure you use caulk to seal the holes. They look very solid compared to the previous plastic. We liked them so much we ordered another set for indoor cabinets which have the doors opening UP - to keep them open while digging - they look and are a lot better than the other alternatives (white/plastic). Alternative to some of the interior cabinet options which would limit use inside the cabinet as the hardware would get stuck in the cabinet when the door was closed.
