Review on 🚲 Novsight Bike Lights Front and Rear Set - USB Rechargeable 800 Lumens Ultra Bright, Waterproof Headlight and Tail Light for Night Riding, Mountain and Road Cycling - 5 Light Modes by Nikith Brewster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice but similar to the original Novsight 1600 more for single track

I ordered a new Novsight as I liked the original. I have tested many flashlights, but I will only compare two versions of NovSight. Assembly: The original Novsight handlebar setup worked with more handlebar sizes. 22.2mm, 25.7mm and 31.8mm (don't know for 35mm) by simply adding or removing the rubber strips provided. The new internal battery indicator doesn't work with 22.2 bars (too loose, even with both rubber strips). I'm sure about 25.4 as I don't have that size bar anymore. But it can match with both rubber strips. It goes well with my 31.8 bar with 1 rubber strip. You must unplug the light when not in use, otherwise you will run out of battery if you forget it. Leave it unplugged so you always have light when it's time to use it. Lumens: The new light has fewer lumens, around 800 versus 1600, but the narrower beam makes it just as bright. Beam and less diffuse in this pattern. The bar seems a bit higher and also a bit larger, which is nice. Old light is much broader (it also spreads/spreads) and scatters more evenly within this radiation pattern. (no tunnel vision). You can see the difference in beam pattern and overall illuminated area in my photos and videos. Both are good for the price. I just prefer a more peripheral look/light carpet than a point of light/light tunnel. Neither one nor the other is wrong. If you can find a way to fit a new helmet light and get an old handlebar light, that would be the perfect combination. Or just mount the outside light on the helmet and leave the inside light on the handlebars!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Price piggy bank
