Review on πŸ•ΉοΈ 2018 NZXT H400i MicroATX Gaming Case: CAM-Powered Smart Device, Tempered Glass Panel, Water-Cooling Ready (Black/Red) by Ka Sem ᠌

A little bit not what I expected, generally fine.

The hull is pretty "sleazy". I haven't had this much trouble building a PC in a long time. The painted bar stretches along the entire height of the case, is fixed from the inside and interferes with the free installation of the board. The installation of expansion cards is also crooked - you must first lower the card down to the slot, and then push it forward, while the V / C can "get stuck" if components stick out on the board - for example, audio subsystem capacitors. At the same time, there is a screw-down bar at the back, which is not clear what it closes - although it should have opened all the space for free installation in expansion slots. Some screws are twisted at an angle (the threads on the holes are crooked), they are twisted poorly. I did not find one type of screws (for HDD) with a press washer in the kit, although they were described in the instructions. The i series comes with backlight, which may not be needed in FIG, without it the case should cost two thousand cheaper, but I didn’t find it on sale. In general, I have not seen such "jambs" and design miscalculations even on cheaper cases. The same InWin 301 was assembled as a "fairy tale" - not cheap, but it cost about one and a half times cheaper . I bought an expensive case - I got a lot of hemorrhoids, although formally, all the attributes of an expensive case are present. The designer of the case would have to "f*k on the fingers with the piano lid."

Pros
  • Beautiful-looking body, lighting in the "i" version. Plenty of space to install 2.5 SSD drives
Cons
  • The complexity of building a PC - crooked hands and design ideas. Only one place for installing 3.5 disk.
