Fascinating experiments with LEDs

This review is dedicated to the Cool White LED strip. I'm saying this as there seem to be reviews and Q&A for both, a solid color without a controller (https://www.amazon.com/ONEVER-Flexible-Computer-Background-Decorative/dp/B016RFHGZS/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top ?ie =UTF8 ) and RGB with Mode/Color Controller (https://www.amazon.com/ONEVER-Flexible-Computer-Background-Decorative/dp/B016RFHJ82/ref=sr_1_29?srs=13402165011&ie=UTF8&qid=1488847178&sr=8-29 #Ask ) are mixed together. In any case, it's strange that both single-mode and multi-mode LED strips cost the same, given the difference in complexity. Also, the RGB model has 4-pin connectors to connect the USB cable to the LED strip, which are not polarized (or not marked as I can see) so you may need to reverse (flip) them since the LEDs are powered direct current (on a monophonic model it is solid and not a problem). Out of the 4 I bought, 1 had a bad contact in the USB connector. Male USB connectors are about $4 for ten, and if you're good at soldering it's a quick fix, but a quality control issue nonetheless. Of the 3 RGB blocks I received all worked well, although the number of modes of operation offered by the controller seems almost exaggerated. However, the "kids" have something to play with. I am designing new lamps, night lights and lighted picture frames and am experimenting with using single color strips in place of the old 4W incandescent bulbs (although there are LED replacements for the 4W candelabra). Combined with wall adapter / USB on/off switch. 2XNua&psc=1&refRID=17CN3FKQ1C338WBEKF05. An interesting replacement is LED lighting, which more evenly "fills” the space with light. I've attached a photo of a USB powered night light for aviation lovers. The almost unlimited lifetime of LEDs and low operating temperatures offer significant benefits that outweigh the cost of LED strips and wall adapter/switch assemblies. The operating options via USB battery, desktop computer or USB hub are also attractive. I also got the RGB strips with controller from TENSEE and am currently experimenting with them as well. I am sure that this "old dog" can learn new tricks in the age of LED semiconductors. All in all, it's fun, especially since the price has come down significantly.
