Pretty disappointing

So I'm giving this one two stars because it looks good... Also made in China for those of you looking for "Made in USA". I usually don't care where a product comes from, but given the issues I've found with this fan I thought I'd share them as much as possible. But instead of boring you with sarcasm, here are my findings: Pros: - Looks good - Decent airflow - Cardboard box was in good condition, packaging intact. Cons: - It cannot be mounted on a standard electrical box. (You will need to drill a new hole or find a fastener) - Just a sheet of Chinese writing to install the fan. - There are no instructions on how to connect the fan. I only found the guide by searching for questions and answers. It comes with a remote control, but you need to install an adapter. It was like a 90's Radio Shack product... Who makes it? Oh, did I mention the lack of hookup instructions? - Mounting the fan was a nightmare. I had all the parts but due to the design it was very difficult to connect the fan to the junction box. - It was almost impossible to attach the ceiling cover. - The mount was of poor quality and had two loose sockets making it impossible to connect. Screw in bulbs - When starting the fan, the engine shifts all the lights - The entire fan shakes when running. Very insecure! Note. As you might imagine, after seeing how NOT SAFE the fan was, I decided to return it. Return Instructions... What? At least confusing, but if the support team makes it work. Fine.Other cons:- The return instructions ask for the reason for the return. I would like to inform them, but it doesn't say how and where. There is a $35 restocking fee, but there is nothing on the site to warn you of this BEFORE you buy the item. - He asks to inform the seller about the tracking. Crowd. No problem, of course, but where and how. I would guess that this is an automated PS process. There are a few more things, but I'll report back after my adventures with customer service. - One star deducted because it's been about a week and I haven't received a refund from the seller.
