Good value for money phone accessories

These headphones are a steal at the price. If you're looking in the $10 range, you're probably not overly interested in audiophile sound or exceptional comfort, so they work well. In terms of quality, they are quite well made. I don't feel like I'll break them when I get my hands on them and they've held up well over the past month of use. I wouldn't flip them over with my chair, but they look like they'll stand up to a long drive. The headset has decent sound; not terrible, not great. It would be difficult to listen to music through them as they are heavy on the highs, tinny and lack mids. However, they are great for VOIP and gaming as the sound is crisp, clear and more than bearable for speech. As for the microphone, it's pretty good. It has a high and low selector switch, which is nice, and it's pretty responsive. A high setting is good for late-night gaming when the house is quiet and you don't want to yell to be heard so as not to wake the house. The low setting is ideal for daytime use when you don't mind speaking in a normal voice and don't want children to be heard in the background. There is only a slight, more than tolerable noise in the recordings, which almost disappears when used for VOIP. They are very comfortable and will not bite or pinch with prolonged use. I have two complaints, but they're minor: First, the speakers are on hinges where they connect to the headband. Not sure why they are there but it bugs me because they wander too much, don't "settle down" and don't fit perfectly. Secondly, the headband is too tight when delivered, but it can be stretched. When I say tight I mean pressure on your head. However, I have found that stretching them over the edge of the table overnight solves the problem. I would give them five stars if they were more comfortable. Just to confirm all the specs, they have a built in volume control which is great and they use two standard 1/8" jacks to connect to the computer (they aren't USB jacks). The cord is about 8ft from the headset the jacks (which is good because you can tuck them in the back of the case under the table and still have the cord spare) with the volume control about 2' from the headset all in all it's a pretty decent headset and I'd buy it again, but not without looking for alternatives in the same price range.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
