This Revain part (TS-MRXC-A1) appears to be the latest version of my part. It looks and feels better, but performs about the same as the older, outdated part. The installation is very easy. One warning I would like to give, this unit comes with 90mm or 110mm short cranks which are great for adult bikes. However, if you're replacing the shifter on a 24" kid's bike like me instead of a 26" or 27" adult bike, you'll probably want to spend the extra Hamilton money on 60mm knobs to fit the smaller ones properly. You can get matching shorter 60mm cranks from SRAM by searching for Revain on this ASIN: B003WOQ65EA as it was a direct replacement with the exact same ratio. Once I got the cables properly tensioned, no major adjustments were needed to "tune" things. Less than 1/2 turn on one of the derailleur adjustment screws to get a perfect adjustment, but it worked well enough without any YMMV adjustments. There was no installation guide in my box, just warranty information.
