Works great as long as you keep it wet!

Bought this hole saw to drill three holes in 1/4 inch thick ceramic tile to install a grab bar in a customer's shower room. It has very little life left. Here's how we used it to cut holes in the tile: - Mark the center where you want to make the hole. - Place the tip of the center drill on the mark and reverse the drill just a few turns to make a dimple in the surface of the tile on the marl. If you try to just start drilling it will most likely move, so start in reverse just to create an indentation in the surface of the tile. - Have a spray gun ready. filled with water, and a second pair of hands to spray while drilling. You need to keep a constant flow of water to the surface while drilling or you won't make much progress and will ruin your hole saw which could tempt you to write a bad review about a product that was just misused - keep your drilling speed a little low , as you just can't drill through ceramic tile, and remember to run cold water on the hole saw while you're drilling. Considering the price, I'd be happy if it was just enough to drill a drill. It took me three holes to mount the handrail, but it still looks like new and I suspect it still has a few holes. We ended up using this hole saw for ceramic tile, but I have little doubt it will work just as well on porcelain tile using the same method as above.
