I bought this to replace my manual coffee grinder. I use it for Aeropress. Two spoonfuls of beans prepared with an Aeropress spatula fit in this slightly larger grinder. Perfect for a 16 ounce cup of Aeropress coffee. The grinder might be a bit noisy and takes a little longer than others, but that doesn't bother me. Low speed = less heat. Better for beans? The main reasons I bought this was its size and that it was a coffee grinder. As you can see from the photo, it takes up almost no space on the countertop. Removing the grounds from the coffee grinder. How did you do that? During grinding, the ground coffee falls to the bottom of the grinder. When it's done, turn the bottom to open the small door. Maybe open it halfway if you're going to put the crumbs straight into the AeroPress. Or open it all the way and be a little more careful not to miss it. Or do it over the sink and knock it off. By blowing, I mean tapping the grinder on top of the Aeropress to get the grind size out. Finally, the grinder has several settings for adjusting the degree of grinding. I've tried them all to see the difference. As you'd expect, there's a big difference from the smallest to the largest, with a notable difference for every size in between. I chose the smallest Aeropress grind size. This thing is very good. Of course there are a few points of improvement, including the price, but I'm satisfied.
