Unreliable: Electric Millstones

I would give this mill a high rating if it weren't for the poor durability. I use this grinder almost every day because I like to make coffee by the cup. 8 months of use are not enough for the purchase price of this coffee grinder. As you can see from the photos, the tab on the lower transparent part has broken off in two different places. Without these protrusions, the top slider (black part) cannot snap onto the bottom. I did not use excessive force when attaching the tops and bottoms after…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Excellent finish but many design flaws.

Pros: I like the slow grind that doesn't heat the coffee beans. Pros: It suits my needs in terms of being able to scale up for less coffee. I use it to brew a batch. Disadvantages: The bean insertion hole is too small. I can't just pour the beans out of the measuring scoop without the beans sloshing out. I have to use a funnel that doesn't sit securely in the hole. Cons: Dispensing ground coffee is cumbersome and always results in a mess and waste of ground coffee. Cons: I prefer devices that…

great for small pots, one person

I have some doubts about this coffee grinder. I like coffee in the Aeropress made by the cup. This coffee grinder likes to make ground coffee for a "press". My girlfriend loves her French Press, which makes about four cups. To get enough soil, you'll need two full "fillings" of beans. And it's a very slow grinder. This coffee grinder uses an interesting industrial design trick to make it look smaller than it really is. It looks like it's only about the size of a Coke bottle, but it still takes…

My Favorite Coffee Grinder

I've been using it at least twice a day for 4 months now. It takes a little getting used to at first - put on the vertical button on the left next to the grinding degree setting and turn to close. Make sure the opening at the bottom is closed, then twist to pour out the ground coffee. I tap the top with my palm to get the ground coffee out at the bottom. I broke off a small piece of plastic from it - it was user error, not a product, and the integrity of the coffee grinder was not compromised…

  • Hands Free

Great one cup grinder

Love the brim grinder. I use it every day, at least 1-3 times. Love the size and shape of this and the fact that I no longer have to hand grind beans. The noise level is a bit high but not enough to bother me. I like that it has multiple grinds (up to espresso) but I only use 3 different ones. It took a little effort to add the beans until I found that the can funnel matched the lip perfectly (see the hack below and in the photo). I initially had some trouble pouring the grist from the bottom…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • No paint needed

Saves countertop space. Best friends with Aeropress.

I bought this to replace my manual coffee grinder. I use it for Aeropress. Two spoonfuls of beans prepared with an Aeropress spatula fit in this slightly larger grinder. Perfect for a 16 ounce cup of Aeropress coffee. The grinder might be a bit noisy and takes a little longer than others, but that doesn't bother me. Low speed = less heat. Better for beans? The main reasons I bought this was its size and that it was a coffee grinder. As you can see from the photo, it takes up almost no space on…
