Review on Bushnell Waterproof Spectator Binocular 12X50Mm by Nuntawat Bridges

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good for what they're designed for, but add bugs, you stink

Great 12x50 fixed magnification glasses. It's not "auto focus". That's marketing. or 6x, etc. All optics used to be like that. If it's blurry, then you're too close. You buy the X Factor from whatever distance you see. Ball game Little Timmy's T? Discover 4x planes or look for ships on the horizon? 10 or 12×. A common joke? 6x At a later age I became involved with airplanes and general storm/cloud observation. These 12x are AWESOME for that. Outlook. 12x H2O requires constant fuss to keep them sharp while observing things in the sky, at different altitudes, distances, etc. You'll be "fixed" again at 12x when forgetting, so anything nearby is a choking experience. good clarity, color and light capture at flight distance. Anything indoors, probably 150-200 yards with 12x?, no. Not what they were designed for. The Bk7 prisms in the manual are NOT Bak4 but I wouldn't know without reading the manual. NOT "cleaned" according to manual "accidental splashes or light rain", NOT waterproof according to manual. weather resistant. I'm very happy with my usage but only 2 1/2 stars due to all the mistakes in advertising makes me feel well taken advantage of. I just had to be honest. Unfortunately, even the Bushnell website makes up stories about prisms, impregnation, and nitrogen purging. If you don't know what you're selling, why would anyone want to buy it? Returned out of principle due to bugs, but as I said, for my use they made a cut. If I paid 70-80 dollars now? Pfff, I would have sent them back so quickly, or should I say bk-7.
