Compared to Carter, they are much cheaper. Although I buy a lot of Carter's dresses, her fleece pajamas are usually expensive. Your non-woolly ones are expensive too! For $10 a set it's great. They are looking at $14-16 for a set in store and they no longer offer discounts. So for me the price saving is definitely worth the discount. First I will say that you should dry them if possible. I always hang my tops up and tumble dry my pants. Drying will definitely ruin the print. They should last for my second child so I just hang them up to dry. I also almost always wash cold unless the laundry is heavily soiled, but that is rare. Speaking of thin hands. I know what everyone is talking about. Carters (and other pajama makers) usually make skinny arms. They're not that bad, but that might be because I don't tumble dry them. As you can see in the last photo they fit my wrist. In the photo they are still wet, by the hand. Although my hands are rather thin, that's not a problem for us. Again, I stick to my recommendation of hanging to dry rather than tumble drying. it dries in about 24 hours, even in a cold house. In the winter, we keep our thermostats at 60 degrees Fahrenheit. As for sizes. My 4 year old weighs 40.5 pounds and is 42 inches tall. It fits a size 5 but I ordered a size 6 for more frequent use. The shirt fits well but is a bit longer, but nothing bothers. !Pants are a bit long and loose, size 5 would definitely fit better, but again. Maybe *just maybe* I can use those bad boys again next winter. Maybe you never know! I would add that the extra looseness comes in handy because we make cloth diapers. He only wears a diaper at night, but as some of you may know, cloth diapers are huge. At night he has a huge furry butt. Although my son still takes off his pajamas before bed because he gets warm and sweats profusely. So I guess this part doesn't really matter, but for cloth diaper wearers it *might* work, but you might need to go up a size. In terms of comfort and style, my son loves them! I ordered them in August he has never worn them until this month. We're in New England and it's quite cold in the mornings and we haven't started using the heaters yet. They keep him warm in the early morning, and in order for them to stay on his waist he has to wear underpants to keep them from slipping off his waist. Also I fold it once at the waist and it helps. He loves styles and so do I! They're adorable, comfortable and great value for money. I definitely recommend these! If you are a quality lover you can skip it. They are decent but not perfect and for some families wanting to have multiple children I think other more expensive brands might suffice for 4-5 children. I am sure that with proper care they will be enough for 2-3 children. I only have 2 boys but i know carter's son i can donate if my youngest wears them. In fact, I've found Carter's Simple Joy's in thrift stores, so they're definitely sticking around from kid to kid! he has to wear underpants to keep them from slipping off his waist.
