I have 10 foot straps for a hammock and they work great for it. The straps are about 11/2 inches wide so they prevent damaging trees. And I think with the included tree protectors they won't hurt themselves. They also seem to be easier to loosen if I keep my weight up all night (about 280lbs), my other straps are about 1/2 inch wide and when I take them off it's usually hard work. They get very tight where they go through the loop. But Roman venture belts just come loose. So no fighting with the harness strapped 2 feet above your head. In addition, each strap has 6 loops at the end for fastening, making it easy to adjust. Even the locking carabiners worked great and had no issues with my weight. Now my main hammock is set to all Roman shops except for the hammock itself (but if they made one I would own one too). If you are looking for a rain fly, mesh bag or hanging system this is a good affordable product. If you're thinking about straps, just get them. You will not regret it.
