Only owned for 8 months and used maybe as much and the tacking brush bristles are half worn out. They don't just come out during the wash, as part of my Thanksgiving turkey had to be cut off and thrown away because some of the clear bristles detached from the turkey during watering and then melted during cooking. The bristles come out of this brush and are more or less invisible, mind you I have excellent eyesight. By now the wood of the trowel is already cracking, and I think that's because too much hardware has been put through that wood. When you put the meat on the grill, it presses against the rivets and eventually breaks the wood. Also, the pressure you have to put on the already stressed wood makes the bottle opener practically useless. Damn cheap after all, but I think you get what you pay for. Do yourself a favor and buy a metal and heat-resistant silicone set. They'll definitely last longer.
