Review on ☕ Lafeeca French Press Coffee Maker - Stainless Steel Double Wall Vacuum Insulated - Large 34 oz Thermal Brewer - 1000 ml Capacity - White by Eric Smalley

Fits Fellow Stagg EKG Kettle PERFECT

EDIT: I spoke to Michael at Lafeeca to explain my situation and he was kind, helpful and very generous in offering me a partial refund. You can't go wrong with good customer service, which is why I'm increasing the number of stars in my rating. The main reason I bought this French Press was its aesthetic value. It's modern and minimalist, and the matte black finish is gorgeous and pairs perfectly with a Fellow Stagg or Corvo kettle - looks like they were made by the same company. Together they look great on the counter. It is very similar to the YIELD French Press which is three times the price. The press is nice and heavy and the piston works well. The grip is comfortable, overall a good buy. There are a few downsides though --- 1) The matte finish scratches easily and coffee drips are very visible. I have a few other matte black items in my kitchen, and they all show stains and drips, so this isn't unique to Lafeeca. However, I would say the finish scratches more easily than other items I have with a similar finish. The stainless steel is translucent and stands out against the black. To make this thing look as beautiful as it came out of the box, you need to handle it with care. 2) There is a tab in the lid that can be twisted to "close" the press, as you probably see on most French presses. But even when closed, Lafeeca leaves a large gap through which heat can escape (see photo). This produces lukewarm coffee in about 20 minutes. If you plan to share marijuana or have a quick drink, this shouldn't be a big problem for you. Despite these points, I think it could potentially be a good buy for the right person. I don't think you'll find a better *looking* belly for $40 anywhere, especially if you have a Fellow kettle. If keeping warm isn't important to you and you're willing to be careful with cleaning, this is good value for money.
