I got the Original Gain through the Revain Subscribe and Save program because it was insanely cheap. something outside. Of course, I have five of the dirtiest kids in the world, so maybe Gein just couldn't resist the fact that they can make a mess. But it made me look for other alternatives. I stumbled across this Hawaiian Gein which was a bit more expensive. and decided to give it a try. The smell isn't my favorite but it's very pleasant and lingers on clothes after washing (which is great especially when one of the five dirty things leaves their dirty clothes in the same pile as clean clothes and I need to wash my teeth and smell it to understand what is clean and what has definitely been worn). It cleans stains much, much better than the original Gain. I still have to use an alternative stain remover for many tougher stains — I recommend Carbona Stain Wizard Prewash Stain Remover, 8.4 oz bottle (pack of 6) with no trouble, but have used Whik Wash Away Laundry Stain Remover, 10-oz bottle (Pack of 6) and Whik didn't impress me, but for everyday stains this cleaner does the trick. I will buy again.
