Overall this kit looks pretty solid. not marked as open/closed rotation like some other collectors. Easy enough if you know what to expect (but some people might stumble) - the vacuum pump does the job. it runs smooth, is relatively quiet, and quickly achieves a good vacuum of -29 to 30 inches (depending on the kit's gauge). - The hoses are the first and possibly only place you will have a complaint about the kit. The red and blue (high and low side) hoses felt a little cheap but did the job, and the hose adapters to the connector made a good seal and had no issues. The main reason it didn't get a higher rating. is that the yellow (vacuum/charging) hose had/has a punctiform leak in the brass elbow immediately after unpacking. Which initially worried me about a significant leak in the AC system. So I had to either buy another hose locally or send the whole set back. I know defects do happen but nonetheless this was very disappointing and I would expect based on the quality of the hoses this is not uncommon for this kit (pure guesswork on my part but there is an obvious quality flaw which leads me to conclude).
