Review on Portable WiFi Fish Finder with GPS for Kayaks, Boats, and Ice Fishing - Deeper PRO+ Smart Sonar for Deeper Insights by Anand Anand ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are several shortcomings, in principle, it corresponds to the norm.

I have been using an echo sounder for a long time, but in fact the thing did not live up to my expectations, except for its protivity, this device does not have a single plus. 1) the battery, of rather poor quality, is not removable and does not allow you to turn on external charging on the go. One charge for fishing is not enough, then dances with a power bank and fishing without an echo sounder begin 2) coastal mode - it’s useless from the word at all, not because it doesn’t work, but in fact its need is more advertising than necessity, it requires a separate heavy spinning to cast and in any case, to check if there is a fish, it’s easier to immediately throw the bait 3) the boat mode rests in the absence of a normal sensor, this stray strives to go under water (the signal is interrupted), then get out of the water (turns off), even with a new fashionable wave compensator for 5k, in addition, when the angle changes relative to the bottom, it starts to draw at the bottom of pits and ditches than misleading. The speed at which it works, taking into account the fact that there is no remote sensor, discourages the fisherman, it will most likely take you a week to draw up a map of the reservoir . in general, if you are on a motor boat, then take a stationary echo sounder, do not waste your money if everything is on you, packraft or small pvc - then there is a point, but don’t expect miracles + immediately think about fastening (there are several designs on the Internet or arm 2, the arm of the first version is useless from the word at all)

Pros
  • protativity, you can take it with you even if there is no access to the reservoir
Cons
  • power and battery, quality, form factor of the sensor itself
