These are excellent cordless shears that have several features that make them ideal for seamstresses and DIY enthusiasts. They come with 2 cutting heads, one for soft materials like fabric and one for hard materials like cardboard. They also come with 2 rechargeable batteries so you're always ready and charged. The charging time is about an hour. Another great feature is the on/off trigger. If you're cutting fabric or other material in relatively short bursts, you can simply hold down the trigger and then release to stop. But if you're cutting something like cardboard for a long time, you can pull and push the trigger and it'll stay on until you push it back down to stop. Not particularly noisy - these are electric scissors after all and you wouldn't use them in a room with a sleeping baby. I have small adult hands and they are light and easy to hold. They are also highly maneuverable, easily cutting fabric into intricate curves. If these are your first electric scissors, do yourself a favor and practice, they can take a while to get used to and they cut through soft butter like a hot knife.
